The Only 4 Things You Need To Revamp Your Wellness Routine in 2022
I’m trying not to bite off more than I can chew this New Year. I want to start a new wellness routine, but I don’t want to set myself up for failure. For the past few years I have made New Years Resolutions, but I only find myself able to stick to them for a few weeks before resorting back to old (and bad!) habits.
This year, instead of lofty resolutions, I want to establish a routine that will be easy enough to follow, and help me reach my wellness goals. Given the last few years, that means being less stressed and generally more healthy! Can you help set me in the right direction?!

1. 24 Hour Magic For Day + Night
24 Hour Magic is a Betoken CBD bundle that contains both Hello Mellow and Nighty Night capsules. Hello Mellow is a daily chill pill that helps keep me calm and, for me, keeps stress at bay. It is very subtle, and definitely does not interfere with my daily duties (like work, childcare, etc) by making me “too chill”. I find that it simply takes the edge off of my stress and allows me to focus on the task at hand, without any unwanted side effects. ]
Nighty Night has been helping me sleep for YEARS. I love that it is melatonin-free, and doesn’t cause any grogginess in the morning. I take mine about 30 minutes before bed, while I’m brushing my teeth, and then get into bed. I might look at my phone for a bit, read, or chat with my husband. At about the 20-30 minute mark, I start to feel sleepy, and fall asleep within minutes of laying my head on the pillow! What I love most about it is that if I need to wake up in the middle of the night, to help my kids, etc., I can, but then I go right back to sleep! It’s a dream 😉
2. Drink Enough Water
This has always been really hard for me. I used to pride myself on never having to go to the bathroom, and now I know that my body most definitely not getting the water it needed! Getting this Healthish water bottle helped me know how much I needed to drink, and more easily accomplish my goals. The first few weeks are so tough, but now, several months into proper hydration, I feel so much better, healthier and hydrated!
3. Manage PMS Pain, Naturally
Every month I get really bad PMS pain. I used to take ibuprofen around the clock, and I hated it! I know how bad it is to take too much, but the pain without it was too severe to get through the day. That is until I discovered Betoken’s PMS-relief products! A few days before my period I start rubbing the Not This Month cream on my abdomen and tender breasts. I keep rubbing throughout my period, and it seriously has helped to keep the cramps and tenderness (and the ibuprofen!) at bay. Not This Month contains not only CBD and CBG, but also Cramp Bark, Chamomile, Ginger and Rose. It smells delicious and is a really soothing ritual.
4. Exercise a Few Times A Week
Another REALLY hard one. Having a full-time job, kids, and generally adulting takes up enough time, let alone finding time to work out. I used to be a runner. I never liked it, but it was just what I did. Last year during the pandemic we got The Mirror. I have been experimenting with different classes, and recently discovered Pilates. I really like it, like actually enjoy doing it, which helps me actually do it! I definitely don’t do it every day, but I try to do it a few times a week. I’ve noticed a small change in my body, but a huge change in my general wellbeing. I am excited to keep going! The Mirror might not be for you, but I encourage you to try a bunch of different workouts, and stick with one that you actualy like! Don’t just keep doing something because you think that’s what you need to do.

When it’s not a pandemic, she loves hanging out with her friends, dating, and exercising in public. Throughout the pandemic she has baked her fair share of sourdoughs, gotten more than her fair share of takeout to “support her local restaurants”, ordered wine online and taken plenty of CBD to keep the anxiety at bay.

Dear Jane, I am at a breaking point! My kid is almost 5 years old and WILL NOT SLEEP through the night! Honestly thank god for my Nighty Night. At least with it I'm able to get right back to sleep after he ineveitably wakes me up at 2AM. Can I give him some?! This...
Dear Jane, I am officially a meme. You know the ones about dodging Covid? Somehow, despite numerous close encounters and look-a-like symptoms, I haven't had Covid yet. I know so many people that have, I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority in my friend group. Of...
Dear Jane, As I coast well into my 30's, my days of hard charging and partying on the weekends are behind me. Of course I know this makes sense, and I couldn't party now even if I wanted to (the multi-day hangovers kill me!) but I am kind of at a loss as to what to...
